Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are false teeth (also known as pontic) used to replace a missing tooth. They are kept in place by "anchoring" the false tooth on neighbouring teeth using crowns.Bridges get they name by the fact that the false tooth is attached to the teeth on both sides and bridges them together.
Dental bridges process
A fixed bridge is made by putting crowns on the teeth at either side of the space, and then these two crowns are joined together by placing a false tooth in the space. This is all made in the laboratory and then the pieces are cemented into place with special adhesives. The bridge cannot be removed.
